This term began by simply meaning someone who was afraid of homosexuality. It quickly progressed to anyone who spoke out against it. Now the word can refer to anyone who even passively disagrees with the gay agenda. Fear of being labeled homophobic has paralyzed normally outspoken individuals who for whatever reason found even the slightest thing wrong with homosexuality. In spite of the bible’s outright condemnation of homosexual acts, the Christian church and Christian leaders have remained conspicuously silent for fear of reprise. Unfortunately fear is not the only reason. It’s become increasingly hard to find a Christian who even believes what the scriptures have to say on this subject. All kinds of justifications are given as to why the scriptures don’t really mean what they say about homosexuality. How far we have strayed, from a true authentic Christianity to a post modern relativity. Holiness is now something we just sing about, not actually do.
I fear that giving in on this issue spells the death kneel on any semblance of free speech from Christians. The lines are clearly drawn and soon it will become physically dangerous to speak truth to this lost society.
The big news last month is the Liberal party’s thorough shellacking of the NDP. It was not so much an endorsement of Liberal leadership, as evidenced by Clarke losing in her own riding, but a complete rejection of the NDP. Adrian Dix was the person performing the dirty tricks for Glen Clarke in their last botched attempt at running this province. Any right thinking citizen and certainly anyone who calls themselves a Christian, should have long ago distanced themselves from this pack of scoundrels.
Unfortunately the Liberal alternative is only marginally better. They are so concerned with being PC that their cave in record is abysmal.
I noticed that my friend Marc Dalton was re-elected in the Maple Ridge riding. Lets hope that he can keep his integrity intact as he continues in the snake pit of politics and the temptation to compromise his Christian faith to appease the press.
“Disaster strikes at the heart of climate change deniers”
This is the headlines of the Vancouver Sun callously used to announce the Oklahoma hurricane.
Nobody’s denying climate change, climate changes all the time, it’s whether humans play a part in the change that is at question.
Anyone who’s travelled to a third world country would realize that our puny efforts here have little to do with climate change, even if climate change happened at the hands of Man rather than natural causes. The environment abuses and pollution in India alone is 1000 times worse than that of the west. China’s air pollution volume is enough for the entire world. Some of my Chinese friends told me they had never seen a blue sky until they came to Canada. Our efforts would be far more productive if we were to pressure them to clean up their act rather than putting restrictive environmental legislation on ourselves. These restrictions further weaken or financial situation and in turn, our voice to the world about abuses.
